2013 State Plan Update
Why does DVR do a State Plan?
The State Plan is required by the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), a major
funding source to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). The State Plan is developed
to shape the way we deliver vocational rehabilitation services to customers and to ensure DVR
fully carries out the federal Rehabilitation Act.
What is contained in the DVR State Plan?
The State Plan is made up of a series of documents that describe DVR’s goals, priorities,
strategies and other activities that will be carried out.
The current DVR State Plan is being carried out over three years, 2010 – 2013, and must be updated
every year.
The 2013 State Plan update was submitted to the Department of Education,
Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) for approval. It is expected that the
Plan will be approved no later than September 30, 2012. Below are the sections of the
Plan that have been updated and submitted.
