State Plan
Why does DVR do a State Plan?
The State Plan is required by the federal Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), a major
funding source to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). The State Plan is updated
each year to guide the way we deliver vocational rehabilitation services to customers and to
ensure DVR fully carries out the federal Rehabilitation Act.
The division will submit a 2014 State Plan Update to RSA no later than June 30, 2013. The
updated plan will cover the time period October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014.
Why is the DVR State Plan important?
The State Plan describes all of DVR's goals, priorities, partnerships, and activities
that will be carried out to serve customers.
DVR uses the State Plan as a road map for providing customers with high quality, effective
vocational rehabilitation services.
A copy of the draft 2014 State Plan Update is attached below. it is divided into thirteen
sections. You can open each section to read the changes that DVR is proposing for the 2014
State Plan Update. There is also a single file that contains all of the sections in one document.
We welcome comments on any of the proposed changes as well as any new ideas that you feel
should be considered.

If you are interested in making input in to the plan, please attend a
Public Forum (pdf)
to share your thoughts. Forums will be held in lacey, Lynnwood and Spokane. In addition,
