This mandatory 5-day training for Adoption Social Workers provides an in depth opportunity to become prepared for a career in Adoptions. Training topics include: Adoption Laws and Policies, Federal Regulations, Multi-Ethic Placement Act, Assessing Families, Disclosure, Redaction, Focus on the Child, Adoption Support, Archiving and the use of the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) to document the permanency of a child and potential adoptive placements.

Division of Licensed Resources Licensing Specialized Track

This mandatory 5-day training for DLR Licensors provides an in depth opportunity to become prepared for a career in DLR. Training topics include: Introduction to Licensing, Family Assessments, Documentation, Critical Thinking, Home and Health Safety Inspections, Investigation of Complaints, Legal Aspects of DLR, Criminal History, Background Checks and the use of the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) to license families and agencies.

Family Reconciliation Services Specialized Track

This mandatory 4-day training for FRS Social Workers provides an in depth opportunity to become prepared for a career in FRS. Training topics include: Introduction to FRS, Steps of an FRS Case, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Based Casework, Engaging Families, Behaviors of Youth, Contracts and the use .of the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) to document the family assessment.

Division of Licensed Resources/Child Protective Services Specialized Track

This mandatory 5-day training for DLR Investigators provides an in depth opportunity to become prepared for a career in DLR/CPS. Training topics include: Introduction to DLR, Family Assessments, Documentation, Advanced Interviewing, Critical Thinking, Home and Health Safety Inspections, Investigation of Complaints, Legal Aspects of DLR/CPS and the use of the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) to investigate child abuse and neglect.

Intake Specialized Track

This mandatory 4-day training for Intake Social Workers provides an in depth opportunity to become prepared for a career with CA Intake. Training topics include: Laws and Policies of Intake, Steps of an Intake Referral, Documentation, Interviewing Collateral Contacts, Critical Thinking, Shared Decision Making, and the use.of the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) to determine child abuse/neglect allegations.
