Veteran and Service Member Owned Business Participation and Certification:

The department encourages the participation of Veteran and Service Member Owned Business certified by the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs. For more information on certification, contact WDVA.

Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (MWBE) Participation and Certification:

The department encourages the participation of Minority & Women's Business Enterprises either self-identified or certified by the Office of Minority & Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE). For more information on certification, contact OMWBE.

Washington Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) Registration:

As of November 1, 2008 DSHS is required to release formal competitive business opportunities through the Washington Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) system. This requirement replaces the prior competitive requirement to publish legal notice in the Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC). Although DSHS may opt to publish legal notices in the DJC, DSHS is no longer required to and may only release information on WEBS. DSHS encourages all businesses to register on  WEBS.

If you are interested in DSHS Client and Personal Service formal competitive business opportunities, DSHS recommends you include WEBS Commodity Code 952-43 Family and Social Services in your WEBS Commodity Code selection.
