These data are reported by locale. Locales are school districts or groups of school districts that, when added together, include 20,000+ residents. At this threshold we are able to report rare events.
Additionally, the school districts grouped are:
- part of a single Educational Service District and
- similar in character (for example, they had similar proportions of students receiving free or reduced price school lunches).
To get an overview and locales' rankings, download the report: "Community Drug and Alcohol Data for Prevention Planning: Five-year Rates of Risk Factors and Problem Outcomes."
As you run your cursor over the map the locale number will display. The county(ies) and school district(s) for that locale will also be listed in the text boxes below the map. Select by clicking anywhere on the locale area. If you prefer, you may select the locale area from a table interface.
