The Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a great resource for parents caring for foster children under the age of five and all foster youth who are pregnant. Relatives caring for children who are dependents of the state also are eligible for the program. Many relatives caring for children who are not dependents also are eligible, depending on income.
