ALTSA: ICF/IID #2013-009
FORMAL PHASE OF AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 388-111 WAC
Dear ICFs/IID Superintendents and Interested Parties:
In July 2013, the department filed a CR-101 to begin the rule adoption process for changes to Chapter 388-111 Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Residential Habilitation Centers – Compliance Standards.
Changes are being made to comply with changes to state law made by the 2012 Legislature in Substitute House Bill (SHB) 2056 (Chapter 10, Laws of 2012). The department is also amending the chapter to comply with federal law regarding terminology used in Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) regulations.
The department recently filed the CR-102, a more formal phase of the rule making process. The CR-102 (WSR 13-23-100), including proposed rule language, is available on the ALTSA website under the heading, "ICF/IID Rule Filings", at: http://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/icfid.htm.
