FORMAL PHASE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 388-76 WAC
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
In February 2012, the department began the rule making process to amend sections of Chapter 388-76 Washington Administrative Code (WAC) to:
- Clarify background check requirements from Initiative Measure 1163 (I-1163) and Engrossed Substitute House Bill (ESHB) 2314.
- Comply with ESHB 1277 relating to oversight of licensed long-term care settings.
- Clarify the provision related to disqualifying drug crimes.
We recently filed the enclosed CR-102 document with the Office of the Code Reviser. The CR-102, including proposed WAC language, is enclosed for your convenience and is also available on the ADSA website at http://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/afh.htm under the heading, "AFH Rule Filings". You may either submit comments in person at the public hearing listed below or in writing to the department's Rules and Policies Assistance Unit (RPAU). The formal hearing for the proposed rules is scheduled:
