On-the-job training provides businesses the opportunity to train the new employee, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) customer, to the specific needs and requirements of the position. In addition, DVR can assist with the cost associated to the training.
We can also arrange for a business to, “try out” a DVR customer at the work site before making any recruitment or hiring decision.
DVR also offers work-trial experience. This approach provides the business and prospective employee the opportunity to evaluate for a “right fit” of an occupation or industry prior to any type of commitment.
Once our DVR customer has accepted employment, we will continue to provide additional support services in the form of job coaching, job carving, supported employment or work adjustment training so your employee can achieve maximum job performance.
