When is it the right time to apply?

Anytime is the right time to apply.

 

What is the difference between Credit Internship and Volunteer?

They are both unpaid internships. However, Credit Internship is for high school or college students who wants to experience real-life office work while earning academic credits. Volunteer is for anyone who interested in learning more about working at DSHS. 

 

How to apply for Credit Internship or Volunteer? 

Fill out the application form and submit it by sending it to this email: internship@dshs.wa.gov with a subject line that state Credit Internship or Volunteer. 

 

What does the process look like? 

You will hear from the administrator within 1-2 business days after your submission.

If you are applying for Credit Internship, we recommend you to reach out to your faculty advisor for more information.

 

Does DSHS offer paid internships?

Yes, currently DSHS offers Summer paid internships and other paid internships opportunity for all year around.
