OLYMPIA- A new partnership between the Department of Social and Health Services and LexisNexis will make paying child support easier for parents in Washington state and across the country.
Parents will now have the option to pay their child support online using their debit or credit card.
“This partnership is one more option for parents wanting to pay child support,” said Wally McClure, director of the Division of Child Support. “Making these kinds of transactions easier is important because we know that emotional and financial support from both parents provides a strong foundation for children and increases the well-being of the entire family.”
LexisNexis is one of five vendors used by the Division of Child Support. The division receives most payments through federally mandated wage withholding, but also accepts payments by mail, through Secure Access Washington (a state payment portal used by many state agencies), regular voluntary deduction from bank accounts or in-person at any of its offices.
