Comparing government costs across clients living in institutional settings and community settings can be complex. One approach is to use real expenditures across multiple systems for clients who move from one setting to the other. Using that approach, this fact sheet examined costs across DSHS for all of the 37 adult clients who moved from DDD Residential Habilitation Centers into community settings between October 2001 and November 2002.
