2023 Internship

Intern images

Every summer, I have the tremendous joy of working with the Secretary's Summer Interns. After the 2022 summer internship, seven interns applied and were selected for vacant positions within DSHS. There were twenty-four interns this year, and several interns from 2022 returned to intern with us again. Each year the interns join us for ten weeks and come in not quite knowing what to expect. Many of them have never experienced working in an office setting before. They are hungry to learn and show a drive to make a difference. They certainly have made a difference in my life. Thank you to each of the 2023 summer interns for joining us, and I hope to see you working here at DSHS in the future.
