Early Support for Infants and Toddlers

Couple with a baby

Early Support for Infants and Toddlers is a program of the Department of Children Youth and Families. It provides early intervention services for babies and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, and their families.

Every eligible family receives support from a Family Resources Coordinator. Services are tailored to meet a child’s individual needs and the family’s goals, and can include:

  • Early education
  • Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy
  • Assistive Technology
  • Feeding and nutrition support
  • Vision services

Services are provided in natural environments to the maximum extent appropriate.

For more information about early intervention services, or to schedule an assessment and find out if you are eligible, call the Help Me Grow WA Hotline at 1-800-322-2588, or visit: https://helpmegrowwa.org.

You can also find more information on the Department of Children, Youth and Families ESIT website.

ESIT and DDA

Babies and toddlers who enroll in ESIT services are also enrolled in DDA services. The eligibility requirements are the same for ESIT and DDA for children from birth through age 3.

Contact our Intake and Eligibility team at any time in your child’s life if you have questions about their enrollment status. If your child is under age 3, our staff will support you in connecting with a local ESIT Family Resource Coordinator.
